Sorry to hear of your Dish troubles. Your story is the opposite of my cable modem story with @home through Charter Cable. I have absolutely NO complaints. Service is good; on hold is less than 2 minutes when I infrequently need to talk to them; speeds in the 150-250KB download range. I have two computers connected to the c-modem through a little network hub.
