i have a friend who did something yesterday that i wouldn't have imagined was possible. she shut her own head in a car door. (she is blonde, but that's too easy.) she showed me a welt-like mark under her chin and asked me to guess how she got it. then she explained. having just picked up her daughter from school, she was standing with her car door open, one leg in the car, talking with another mother. she was in a rush (i guess!), and just blurted out, "well, see you later", and started to lower herself into the vehicle while closing the door. but she got a little out of sequence and pulled the car door closed too soon. she says the embarrassment far exceeded the pain of the car door shutting on her head. :) mark
