If you can analyze it doesn't mean you can trade. KEEP IT SIMPLE.. You should not be spending your time learning intricate trading strategies involving Ganns, Waves, Cycles and obscure forumulas. Most of these using these systems spend so much time dealing with scores of stock that spew forth from the scan intraday, they can't deal with just 4 or 5 and follow them through for a trade.

I have been reading some very obscure articles this week in Futures Trader and Elliott Wave Analysis with 8 or 9 key entry points intraday and I couldn't help think. How come straightfoward and simple strategies work? I have nothing against the Ellipse in Advanced Get. I even have Advanced Get but I chucked all those strategies for the simple strategies based on Candlestick Reversal/Continuation Patterns, simple chart patterns (triangles, double tops double bottoms, flags) Support and Resistance Lines, Moving Averages, and Volume analysis.

In the end it is not the analysis alone but the stock selection process that determines the profitability of the trade. Knowing the historical price patterns of 50 or 60 stocks thoroughly is better than scanning the market intraday through 8,000 stocks looking for likely candidates. You will find them intraday but you will find 30 or 40 and then what do you do? By the time you decide the trading opportunity is gone. So no matter whose watch lists you use, just keep A watch list and set up alerts and possible entry targets the night before.
