Comparison of QLGC, BRCD, and EMLX:

PE 134 333.8 172.06
EPS 0.56 0.27 0.51

Inst. Buy/Sell (12mo) 144/112 175/103 81/85

New Buyers/Closed 42/40 68/20 44/32
Inst. Holding (value) $4.7B $14.9B $4.5B

Some additional notes:

Only EMLX insiders bought stock in the last 12 months but all company insiders were net sellers of stock.
BRCD insiders sold the most stock and QLGC the least.

At the institutional level, they were net buyers of BRCD and EMLX stock acquiring 5.7M shares and 7.6M
shares respectively compared with 985K for QLGC. Institutions closed out more positions in QLGC than
BRCD or EMLX.

To me it appears that part of the reason why QLGC is volatile relative to EMLX is the net institutional selling
and trading dynamics that involves.

All the numbers are from Nasdaq.com and Yahoo.
