Well, unfortunately Iridium (from MOT) is "downunder" :), but globalstar satellite comm is still working. You amy want to buy/subscribe one of their phones. They (are supposed to) work anywhere on the planet. Don't know if they support a direct data connection, but you could go for an acoustic coupler type of modem. There is one available for the palm. Search google for "palm and acoustic coupler modem". [Edit: Found one: konexx.com ] [[edit-edit :) Even better one: pocketmail.com There you go. Now you have no excuse to buy a PALM Vx Stay away from those nasty Win thingys. They will lock up on you and eat all you your data from your trip ;) Have fun. ]] Hope that helps. TG
