I disagree. It was about money and race.

OJ had a white trophy wife. I am sure race had a part in that relationship. OJ grew up in a time when Black men were made to feel inferior to white men- and acquiring a white wife was a way to show his equality- so she was a statement about himself, and about his value- if he killed her, it was as much about his anger toward himself, and his self hate, as it was blind jealous rage (imo- just my opinion).

And for the black community who supported OJ, this was totally about race. Which is too bad, because I think they got it wrong. I do not think MLK (for example) would have embraced OJ Simpson- save as a sinner who needed redemption. He would not have embraced him as an icon for the black community to follow.
