Lee had several meetings with Chinese officials/scientists while traveling in China

Lee traveled to China with his colleague who is not Chinese. Maybe he should never have gone to China as a Taiwanese American. I'm wondering what would happen in the US politics if China/Taiwan are peacefully united, since some Taiwanese Americans have taken top jobs in the US political system. Chao is one example.

Uh... maybe because they all have historical animosity towards each other?

Uh... maybe you think everywhere is like the Balkans. No way. I suggest you spend some dime traveling to the Far East and do some studying. I agree with you on religious conflicts in here or abroad, but since China/Vietnam/Korea are not religious countries, those religious conflicts can be ruled out in that region. I think every conflict from now on is based more or less on religion or holy war.

Again, affirmative action is there as the legal "hammer" to be applied in instances where segregationalist and discriminatory policies remain blatantly evident and institutionalized.

So you support affirmative action as a Republican ?
I am still neutral on this issue, considering the fact that some minority groups make big bucks in sports and essentially dominate there. But I also consider women do have disadvantages in getting jobs or into colleges.
