You see that Iran/Contra is yet another example of why we could be proud of Reagan and Bush. No complicity of either man was ever proven. And they certainly did not act like guilty men. They opened the WH files, ordered their subordinates to cooperate with the IC, provided documents in a timely fashion, made themselves available for testimony and generally acted consistent with their statements that they did no wrong. This is the way honorable men act. Now contrast to the criminal enterprise known as the Clinton Administration. Its really no contest. I take the 80's. A President we could be proud of. No matter what is said, history will note the legal and ethical misconduct of the Clinton years. It will overshadow Clinton's rather dubious claims of success. JLA
