sorry to bother you for what might be here (somewhere), but I wasn't able to track it down off the bat. Subject is margin interest on a margined short position. Who pays whom...and I would think whatever portion is shorted on margin above and beyond the value that was in cash would require the shorter (me) to pay interest on that dollar value. if not the case, it would seem that shorting has a perk versus long margin on the interests issue. Of course my brokers website does not address this, at least not in a rel. easy to find manner. Any help or link would be appreciated.

P.s. the link savoystocks.com was excellent as you said for explaining short sales, but the subject I raise here was not specifically addressed. TIA
