Generally, accountants tend to be conservative. This means accelerating deductions and defering revenue. This forces the most conservative profit number.

Good catch on that one. We need to discuss WDC after Seagate confirming last week's rumor after the bell today. I don't think the news is nearly as bad as some. I even believe, if you read between the lines of the CEO's statement, that WDC is pulling market share from Seagate.
