Sorry about the general nature of this, but ya can't beat it for the price...lol
The meeting was basically a product demo of the LMS2000 and LMS3000 systems. Presentations were made by representatives from each area of the company including Bruce Sinclair, Charles Brown, Bruce Kay, Jim Chinnick and Scott Worthington with an additional presentation by Alan Stratton of Platinum.
In attendance were representatives from Bank of America Securities, Wells Fargo Van Kasper, Acumen, Heritage Securities, R&G Capital, Groome Capital, an individual hedge fund manager and perhaps a couple other Canadian funds.
According to this analyst, both the management and the products are quite impressive. The analyst was especially impressed with the speed and capabilities of the 2000 (herd...lol). Apparently they downloaded a video on the 2000 and instead of seeing the download followed by the playing of the video...it just played when they clicked for the download. Very impressive according to him.
He was similarly impressed with the network management capabilities of the LMS system (it's the SOFTWARE, stupid). Told me a story of one of the beta testers for Platinum who was very annoyed because they were on such a fast system that her son was spending all his time playing video games rather than doing his homework. She called Platinum to see what they could do about it and they configured HER system from the Platinum OFFICE to run at a speed too slow to play video games during the hours of her son's access and return to normal speed automatically. (My comment here) Now that may not mean much to some, but THAT is network management software, my friends.
There isn't much more. It was a presentation to show off the new toys to these analysts. My analyst friend said to relate that this is a good company with an impressive management team and product base.
He would buy the stock.
