Billy Lee was obviously qualified too, when Clinton picked him for the assistant Attorney General civil rights post. Ashcroft held that appointment up for a year. The Republicans felt free to derail Clinton's cabinet picks. Now suddenly the Senate has a duty to rubber-stamp Bush's choices. May I remind you, what goes around comes around?
