mq, So an eye in a head has no special absorbing mechanism for microwaves that I can see. It would absorb its share, same as the other watery parts.

sorry no caps today. that was a great discussion of the uveal melanoma study. i followed your development except for the above statement. it would seem to me as well that the watery contents of the eye is not a contributing factor. it is simply the point of entry of the infrared raditiation in an otherwise uv protected cranial cavity, as far as i can see.

mq. The microwaves and not-quite bond-breaking ultraviolet light form interference patterns or simply near enough to coincident absorption into particular DNA bonds and hey presto, bond breaking and melanoma occur where the wave peaks match and absorb or where the bond is over-stressed by almost coincident energy of the two beams even if not interfering.

i am not sure that there is enough overlap between the 1000 nm ultraviolet and 15cm rf wavelengths. i think constructive interference would occur very very rarely.

finally i wonder if they checked if these folks regurlarly visit spain or italy. it is very common for germans to spend their long summer holidays there. you can't get around in the island of mallorca without speaking german. i could see something occuring there a bit like your wave equation.
