If the market tanks (and it sure appears to be heading that way), then web useage will fall in tandem.

Earlie, I assume you meant growth in web usage in the above; web usage will not decline YoY for many years, perhaps decades. As measured, e.g., by either total hours spent online, total number of users, or total Tbytes passed. Web growth, as you pointed out, has already showed the ability to slow, much like any company's earnings may not grow sequentially through even the best five year periods.
