Thanks much, Gottfried, for file transfer advice (and all other kind folks, too).

I went to Laplink, and it seems like the best solution yet. Yes, I only want to transfer files, and not OS.
In fact, it may only be all my Napster music files. I probably will have 1 GB of them, at least, and it would be a daunting task to have to recreate them. Laplink sounds like the answer.
