Six Sigma, in the statistical sense, isn't a fad when you're talking about financial transactions. We're not talking about dryer doors not closing correctly here. I'm skeptical about management fads and I hope Checkfree arrives at six sigma by measuring exceptions and errors on transactions rather than a generic corporate effort to weed out errors.
