AAPL- I've got my eye on this one too. I've never owned AAPL before but I'm seriously considering it at these prices.

I think corporations with alot of overseas exposure will turn in better numbers this year for two reasons:

1. Rate cuts by the FED. This should help the stock market advance. When stock prices rise, peoples 401k's look better (even if only temporarily)and people have a sence of security (even if it is a false sence)and that will spur spending. Housing sales will rise, electronics (technology)will be purchased, people will purchase (or lease) new vehicles. and so on. Heck, even I need a new computer and a van sometime this year.

2. The rise of the Euro against the dollar. (HELLO! Is any one paying attention to the Euro?) I don't hear much talk of the Euro on this thread. The Euro has risen about 12% against the dollar in the last few months. (Sucks if you are planning a trip to Europe, but great for Corporate profits.) One of the reasons companies started to report bad earnings in 2000 was their exposure to the Euro. U.S products were expensive and now they will be more affordable.

I expect the markets to have a great year after what has happened in 2000.

Remember this: YOU CAN'T STOP CONSUMER SPENDING IN THE U.S. YOU CAN ONLY SLOW IT DOWN TEMPORARILY.
PAY ME NOW, OR PAY ME LATER.

Sooner or later, you, I, your friends and neighbors will purchase what they want and need.

I'm very BULLISH on stocks (and especially techs) for at least the next ten years. I think this is a great buying opportunity.

All IMHO,
Scott
