i also pity women who went ahead and had children; children, some or all of which such women never emphatically wished to have.

we need to really ask the women how many children they should want. and if a woman says, 'none,' then we should believe her and leave it at that.

many men - whether they will admit it or not - take a great satisfaction in 'marking' a woman through the act of procreation.

this is great when the woman is willing; but look around at all of the abuse which occurs in families; obviously some of these mothers were - on some level - not entirely 'ok' with their own part in procreation.
