A year later, I agree (and the December low was much better in that regard, it did have 950 new lows, but lacked the staccato of negative tics as wehad late in May, also a pretty good local bottom). I said (before the fed cuts, on that same morning) that buying for long term around 2250 should not be too risky. My problem with turning completely positive is that a number of the readings I get are "skewed" by the seasonal effects of early January. As January progresses, I should be able to better see what the underlying trend is developing to be.
