We bought the set to give away. However, I am sure my daughter will have to throughly check it out - much to the detriment of my ears. We also bought that Electric Guitar that is normally 140 for 33.99. I would love to know what the actual hard cost is for these items that they sell. The prices are just crazy.

They were out of a particular thing that I wanted and my daughter piped up that we should just get the ethnic version and take it back to a store and get the version she wanted.

I proceeded to tell her why that was wrong to do even though Toys R Us will tell you that if they sell it they will take it back even if you didn't get it there.

I imagine that some other retailers may take a hit because of this sale. The idea is that you aren't ripping off the retailer because they are getting the item in fair exchange for the merchandise credit they give you. However, this is poor reasoning if for no other reason than they could get stuck with bad selling merchandise and have to sell it at a discount from what they paid you.

I guess this is why Wal Mart and Target now have a certain number of returns that you can do a year without a receipt.

Here is an interesting excerpt from someone who talked to a CSR:
"Dh called and found out that the other trailer that they have is scheduled to go on markdown also, so
others that missed this deal keep your eyes open! The lady I talked to said that although they don't
know if e-Toys is going out of business (she thinks they're going to get bought & re-vamped), she does
know that there are more discounts to come. Keep watching!"
