Not a compaq owner but interested in storage posts. New York Times today sez compaq storage market share is 17.6 percent, just behind emc at 17.7. pretty surprising. next is ibm at 11.5.

storage is where it's at in my current schemings. consumer boxes are commodities at this point, right?

i guess the question is whether you can buy cpq as a storage play, or is that too small a part of overall corp. picture?
