Patient Engineer - Re: "Wafer cost is $2500. Even that great AMD fan Paul E. agrees that this is a reasonable estimate. Gross die per wafer are 145. " I made a physical count of the number of K6 die on a wafer - they had one or two at the K6 launch on April 2, 1997. I counted 118 possible good die/wafer - complete , no edge effects. I suggest you use that number (118) in your calculations. Paul
