First of all, thanks for sharing your professional expertise.

I have a question re. the example you just commented on:

What if the 1000 shares of BEAS were sold prior to the calls were covered? Assuming the calls were bought back at a loss, can you still add the disallowed loss to the cost of the 1000 shares of BEAS (which had been sold already)?

Cam you apply the disallowed loss to a subsequent purchase of same stock?
