Spam ...
When I signed up for a HotMail account, I didn't want to divulge my income so I chose zero.
I get all kinds of offers for debt consolidation, free money, loans, mortgages, and practically every scam known to man. I also get plenty of offers for high-school and college diplomas, as well as bachelor and post-graduate degrees through home-study. (A PhD in two months, studying one hour a week!)
HotMail offers a spam blocking feature. It catches about a dozen e-mails a day, but one or two still get through. As my blocked list grows, my junk shrinks. Over time, I expect the blocking list to provide adequate protection.
