Be happy these guys avoided the PSX 2....

No kidding, it was an excellent business decision. I was amazed at how many N64 titles are still selling (2 of the 3 best sellers). Nothing like a big installed base....

(Nasdaq: ATVI - news) today announced that the company's market share in dollars increased 100% year over year for calendar 2000 to 7.6% as compared with 3.8% for calendar 1999, according to NPD's TRSTS December 2000 Video Game's Summary. Activision ranked as the #2 U.S. third-party console software publisher and the #4 software publisher overall following Nintendo of America, Electronic Arts and Sony. The company continues to be the fastest growing console publisher and was the only publisher to show triple digit growth for calendar 2000.

Activision topped NPD's TRSTS U.S. game chart for the PlayStation® game console during calendar 2000. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 captured the #1 spot by both unit sales and revenue, while, the first game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater charted as the #5 best-selling PlayStation game by revenue. Spider-Man ranked as the #10 PlayStation title by revenue.
