Wow. I've been fortunate to see most of these guys, at least by the miracle of the tube. Saw my first Niner game in '57, so I think I have seen all my guys in person. When I "grew up" (oxymoron?), I had season tickets, and saw a lot of the other guys in person, at least once or twice. Saw Butkus and Staubach in college, when they played against Cal.

Blanda, da Miracle Worker. Believe it was about '67. He was the back-up QB/kicker for the Raiders. There was a stretch where he won about 8 games in a row, either coming in in relief, or with a last second field goal. I mean, sometimes it was from like 2 TDs behind in the last quarter. He was somewhere about 40 years old. Amazing. Nice to see Ray Guy on the list.
