No, the exact words are "may" reiterate the public guidance.

This means that when the analysts come for their meetings during the quiet period, Intel "may" reiterate, or it "may" not.

If the Intel exec decides he won't reiterate the guidance when the analysts are visiting, he will implicitly be telling them "wink wink, things have changed, wink wink"

These clowns are unbelievable. I can't believe Intel has sunk this low.

This is second only to Amazon announcing they will change the world of e-tailing forever, watching it's stock climb 30 percent in one day, then announcing the next day that they are going to start selling gardening supplies over the web.

Execs have no shame anymore. The rules are more often than not "whatever we can get away with"
