A little help please. (Humor me I understand the concepts to some extent, but I may get some of the lexicon wrong.) I'm a firm believer that the net will expand faster and larger than most believe. I think is has already exceeded expectations and I think another wave is coming. EMC's proprietary architecture (SAN I believe) makes it prohibitive for corporations to switch to another architecture or add another. Am I correct? Similarly NTAP (NAS). EMC has been slow to react to NTAP's new paradigm but is now aware and wants to react. What prevents it from adopting a similar architecture to NTAP's NAS and integrating it so that it works with current EMC SAN?
