For me when they say the pledge of allegiance and then sing this song, there is implied endorsement. Yeah, sounds like it. As an aside, I'm old enough to remember when they added "under God" to the pledge of allegiance. I still leave that phrase out and end up finished ahead of everyone else. Tell us more about this study of the pageant. I don't know what that's about. Do they sing anything else at assembly like America or America the Beautiful? Karen
