Had the same thing in Italy. Hated Italians with a passion. Master Chief of the boat took me out one night for a few brew's. Wanted to know why I hated Italians. I told him. He pointed out what should have been obvious in that the nation didn't declare war on me. Hate is an emotion that takes a large toll on the person holding it. After pointing out these things he noted that he was Italian and he liked me just fine even if I hated Italians. Kind of changed the way I think
