Otellini seemed pretty positive on Rambus as their high end solution. Reading between the lines, it didn't seem to me that DDR was that much of a priority. I came away thinking that they thought Rambus would be competitive.

I am not sure Otellini is an objective observer here. Rambus is what Intel has for sale now, and DDR is something that may not be here for 1 year, so it doesn't make sense for Otellini to talk up DDR now. Besides, AMD just blew 1 quarter of the lead, so the pressure to get DDR has been lessened a bit.
