I don't think WDC will drop below 52, as I posted earlier, it already has a very low p/e, and I can't see that it will drop much at all. But if it does, then I'll just buy!
You brought out some good points about the drives, but I'm still combining SEG with INTC. Both of these companies are very large. If they are experiencing weakness, then a few other companies must be experiencing weakness, and this will come out in the coming weeks, and when it does, the tech stocks will decline, even for companies that shouldn't have any problems. We'll just have to wait and see. Also remember that Mr. Dell said that both memory and disk drive prices were soft--he didn't specify any companies. So this really indicates an industry-wide slowdown. Also, disk drives of all makers are off allocation, and have been for a while, another indication that things are slowing down. So with memory down, disk drives down, and microprocessors down, is it too far-fetched to consider that computer sales are slowing down? |
