Sun is expected tomorrow to announce a new Linux based Raq server in the Cobalt line, according to Linux Today. Sun had some plans to use Solaris on these devices, but this plan has not yet materialized into a product. The article cites some developer preference for Linux, but it doesn't go very deep into reasons for this conclusion.

Sun broadens StorEdge T3 support

Sun announced Wednesday that it is extending support for Sun StorEdge T3 array to Microsoft's Windows NT, Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX and IBM's AIX and Linux system platforms, according to InfoWorld.
