Hi Gil - in response to your points (and, geez, you've got so many that I don't know if I'll be able to get to all of them in one post...)
<...The subject of writable CD ROM is not entirely a straight comparison of convenience and speed, there is an advantage in burning a CD, you can carry it anywhere you go, and it is readable by any CD ROM I have seen, and I have seen many...>
Well, I don't have *too* much trouble carry those heavy Jaz disks either, and they're readable in any Jaz drive I have seen, and I have seen many.
<...where you can re-write the new CD media, is a great backup bonus to an already very useful device...>
I can re-write Jaz media, too. It's a great bonus to an already useful device.
<...650Mb is before compression, after compression you can get up to 1.3 Gb which is a better comparison to the Ditto drive 3.2 Gb (1.6Gb before compression)...>
Yes, 1.3 Gb is really twice as much better than 3.2 Gb (do you play golf?) AND 2:1 ratio is even so much more better than 2:1 ratio. (gosh darn those multiples of two. Why doesn't somebody tell them?)
Hmmm - I'm bored, and I didn't even make it to the second paragraph. We'll try again later, OK?
