the situation has arraived to what it is BECAUSE the church and the heavy influence that to this day has over the people, ( ALL PEOPLE), has allowed this to happen. Bullshit. People have been fighting for power, and abusing those without power for all of human history. Hatred, greed, lust for power, curruption, none of these things where created by religion. The church did not cause it to happen nor did they "allow" it to happen because they do not have the power to stop it. If you include smaller more isolated incendents no one has the power to stop it.
