What happens to Intel now is very similar to what happened around 96 97. Intel at that time had also gone thro' about 4-5 flat revenue quarters. Due to the flat revenues and earnings, I didn't buy into Intel then. To my amazement, Intel's price doubled thro' these flat qtrs !

Now back to the present, I think Intel will go back to $60 from here on for a fibonacci retracement but I also think it will take a whole year for Intel to do it. I think my reading of the situation is this: OK, everybody knows that time is now very difficult, all companies are facing slower growth and some smaller companies will even fail under such environment. But Intel, being so cash rich and dominant, will keep on investing and when the environment turns, it will be among the first to benefit. Smaller companies, due to lack of investment, will lag further behind.
