Dear Slugger: He also was President I believe the State Attorney Generals Associations, and won awards I believe as a Govenor. Just dont remember the exact titles. The bottom line is this: Its unlikely a more qualified potential Attorney General was ever picked if he were not to be passed upon by the Senate over Idealogy that would be a real stain on our system. Remember, he works for Bush and if one wishes to argue Idealogy one must argue with Bush not his EMPLOYEE. Also, if I were NOT a Bush fan I would WELCOME Ashcroft as Atty General as he is independent and would be most likely to keep Bush in line if ever he were to step out of line such as SOMEONE ELSE WE KNOW.
