Jimbo,

Why is it easy to imagine CSCO losing market share but not easy to imagine them gaining it... especially given their knack for doing so? Remember, JNPR's success has largely been driven by the availability of OC192c.... Does CSCO capture this momentum back if they deliver such an interface? It seems to me that what scott was saying is that we've had OC192c for 12 months... putting us ahead of our competition by that amount. However OC192c - while important - will IMO not provide JNPR with a competitive advantage going forward if in fact CSCO ever delivers. JNPR's BGP4 implementation is not complete and adjunct processes required to build out a solution are not features JNPR even has in their bag of tricks. The way I see it, JNPR has had free run at companies that needed fatter pipes between core routers.....CSCO didn't have a solution so the carrier had no choice but to go to someone that did. Will this advantage go away? And then, what about AVCI? Does AVCI have a bigger impact on JNPR than CSCO? I don't know but I think the jury is still out on this space....

BTW: I took the $10 freebie and sold my JNPR at 142 this morning...
