It seems to me that NUAN threw out this release rather quickly. It is not very well written, imho, and looks as if it was originally written last year.

Regarding its content, it is a bit of a power play by NUAN, but NUAN can offer GM speech recognition for a number of solutions within a vehicle which don't require GMGC. To that end it makes sense. It also will expedite the testing of new potential services for OnStar.

I think this is a sign that GM will be starting their VA push shortly, and that NUAN wants to make sure everyone knows that while it is powered by MagicTalk, NUAN is a big part of making MagicTalk successful. We shall soon see.

I was a little disappointed that GM didn't focus more on VA at the recent auto show. But the articles posted here and on RB in which GM has stated that the roll out is coming lead me to believe GM has a plan which just didn't include taking the focus off of its product line at the auto show. Again, we shall soon see.
