One thing that I find interesting and maybe supports what you are saying is the use of the word "several" in the forward looking statement, "revenue for the first quarter of 2001 will be down 15 percent, plus or minus several points". Of course this may be several percent worse, but you are assuming a very conservative outlook. I remember them using the words, "slightly", "few", but never "several". Very interesting and suggests low visibility and potential for positive/negative surprise.

I also noted them saying at the CC that the last week of December seemed strong(er). I wished someone asked if that momentum carried through the first week of January.
