  PPT VISION, Inc. Announces Receipt of Order for Multiple In-line High-speed PPT861(TM) 3D Scanning Systems MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- PPT VISION, Inc. (Nasdaq: PPTV - news) announced today that it has received a follow-on order for multiple PPT861(TM) 3D inspection systems from a leading manufacturer of precision components for hard disk drives, for an amount exceeding one million dollars. The PPT861 system is equipped with PPT's patented SMI(TM)-based (Scanning Moire Interferometry(TM)) SpeedScan 3D(TM) sensor. In this application, the PPT861 is used to perform in-line high-speed 3D inspection of critical dimensions. The Company expects to ship these systems within its fiscal year 2001.
