Bob, here's a painful tale for you. i nibbled some NVLS and TER today at the opening, looked good at first. but with the nasdaq gap up bound to gap down, i am sure my buys will be lower and showing red. fundamentally, things looks crappy but the charts look strong. i was cleaning up my old brokerage statements today and found an old 1999 NVLS purchase i made at 52, split adjusted that 26 a share. but i sold those and now bought them back higher! i still have lotsa dry powder. did u see CFSB and prudential are skeptical on intel's capex claims? interesting that TER says next quarter only 20% decline vs 35% of NVLS. back end b2b may be declining less than front end. i will have my eyes on Q2 earnings and more importantly forward guidance for Q3. i bet u if Q3 guidance does not show a bottoming in bookings or a uptick, watch out beloooooowww! KLAC will report today. henry
