If Bush gets his tax cut retroactive to January 1, I will get a check for about $25,000. I hope that really irritates you. In any event, I hope he does get the tax cut, because not only could I use the money for a nicer vacation this year (last year's London vacation with the family was nice, but I'm thinking three weeks in Italy, including several days at Lake Como, if we get that big a check), but then Dubya will bear 100% of the responsibility for tanking what has been the best national economy in our history, and for turning massive budget surpluses into the deficit spending that his father and Ronald Reagan were so fond of.

As for his other "ideas", since the only ones which enjoy popular support (with the possible exception of a ban on partial birth abortions) were stolen from democrats, and the others have an ice cube's chance in hell of passing in any form resembling that proposed by Dubya, I am comfortable with the future.
