well, at least their debt problems are solved, if more by chance than by design. the same can't be said for the average US household, where debt has now reached 108% of disposable income, an all time high.
i do of course appreciate that debt is integral to the American way if you will - but it has grown too large to handle. so we have essentially the conditions in place that can be found shortly before the disinflation boom (k - wave 'autumn') turns into the deflationary debt and asset destruction bust (k -winter).
the bout of inflation we have recently experienced is incidentally known as the 'false spring', a condition that was present at the end of the 1920's disinflation boom and the '80's disinflation boom in Japan as well.
