Intel, the company that used to be the king of cost control, is now fielding two uncompetitive chips, Celeron and PIII, Uncompetitive chip (PIII) just won out over Athlon at a company that has no love lost for Intel, to say the least: cobalt.com Uncompetitive PIII is also used in all other major OEMs' servers and notebooks, while Athlon's usage is asymptotic to zero.
