by churches i mean all of them, however i do acknowledge that i have used the catholic church as the main example.

this entire thing started (if i remember well), by saying that the church should be made responsible by the killings their members carried out.

as you yourself have acknowledged, the inquisition is the clearest example of them all.

from there we have gone in circles and not really gotten anywhere.

i did acknowledge that it would be a hard case to pursue, particularly when most societies are well influenced (yes, and such influence IS power over the people who follow it)by the very same church...

so, from that perspective, this adds to the difficulty.

but i would settle for the churches (ALL OF THEM). to start paying taxes. and i really do not want to argue that is my belief, maybe it will happen one day soon.

i guess i can not change the past but i could influence the future.

as for "religious freedom"

well, well... if the churches (all of them) promise to behave and never preach upon those who do not request to be preached on... or attempt that unwilling listeners sit in public places (such as public schools)...

then i do not have a problem with their own praying, again keeping it to themselves. they can pray in their churches... in their homes... and in their heads... no problem with me.

end.
