Parker,

We on the thread have changed the definition of momo somewhat because of market conditions. Technically, there has only been one or two stocks in 2001 that have fit the header (LDM earlier this month comes to mind).

In Jan 2000 to March 2000 there were 10 to 20 stocks a week that fit the thread header (small caps w/ momo "now"). Now there are, if we're lucky, 1 per week. Thus, we must play stocks that are simply 'moving'. Case in point SNW.A. In Feb 2000 it ran from 0.70 to $1 on 5 million shares. Good for the thread. We all played. Last week it ran from 0.70 to $1 on 80,000 shares.
Same percentage gain, yet little momo. Still good if you got in early, tho. Some of us played it for a scalp.

My point (and Wayne's methinx) is: If we follow the thread header to the letter, there will be one post here a week, and several worthwhile heads up will be lost for us.

IMO, volume alerts, news alerts and ones for the daily watchlist are worthwhile posts in this trading environment, so we can add them to the ticker to see if we get some momo over the next day or two.

Regards and best luck.

PS: MCF and LAN showing small gaps and OK MD thus far.
