In the chart below, we compared prices on similar chips from Intel and AMD and discovered a huge disparity in prices. In some cases, Intel’s processors cost more than 3 times as much as the comparable AMD offering. Analysts have been noting that Intel has been dropping prices quicker than normal on its high-end chips, but judging from today's chart they have a long way to go and that can't be good for Intel's future earnings. As for consumers, even cheaper PCs are on their way. Isn't competition great?!?
