Once China's military might is challenged by India's ability to strike deep into its territory, China has no choice but to become a reluctant friend of India. According to Abdul Kalam, strength respects strength. Such is the saying of a home-grown Indian genius. That means a proportionate loss of friendship of China for pakistan.
