G.,

Looking at the chart, it would appear to have downside to the $10 neighbourhood.

Under no circumstances would I do an uncovered write.

I've no experience whatsoever with leaps so I'm probably not the
right person to ask.

If you're planning to buy, paying a little less than 1/2 the price that a share of CSCO
trades for sounds a little expensive to me. Why not just buy the stock? Especially
if the delta on the leap is much less than 1.

And finally, JNPR is eating CSCO's lunch at the high end; claims to have a 12 month plus
technology lead; feel that they can maintain that lead; and continues to grow router market
share. JNPR now has 30% up from about 24% 1 or 2 Qs ago. i.e. - I don't think that CSCO
is the slam dunk looking forward that it has always been looking back.

If you're looking for a moonshot, I'd go for one of the leaders in the emerging biotechs that
has been trashed lately, then buy a somewhat out of the money Leap should such an
animal exist.

But this strikes me more like buying a lottery ticket, or a day at the track, than any form
of investing. All options expire. even leaps.

Ian.
